Time Strategies
For this class since all of the assignments are shown ahead of time I'm going to do my best to get some or most of an assignment done before the day it's due. I will also work towards doing all extra credit assignments to get as many points as I possibly can just in case. Overall I'm going to work towards getting any work from classes done the day they're assigned so I can have time to work on more assignments for this class and or study for my classes in general.
Technology Post
I do not have any questions after looking over the course tools. I am not familiar with some of the things mentioned such as creating a website, which is something I've never thought about doing and am not sure how to do but I assume it will be explained in the future. It is nice to know that all these tools are provided for use, especially the text to speech is going to be a cool tool to be able to use for upcoming assignments.

Carol Dweck and the Growth Mindset Theory
When watching the first video of Carol Dweck explain the growth mindset theory I agreed with alot of what she was saying about everybody having the ability to grow in terms of learning. After watching the second video when she explained how she would rather students be more challenged rather than somebody get an "A" letter grade in school was what I didn't really agree with. When it comes to learning and doing the work, in a way I think it could be seen as an extra step that can be done but isn't always worth the time if a student is succeeding. I may have misinterpreted the message she was trying to get across but after watching it that's what i got from the second video. After watching the first video though I did agree with alot of it and if I was on the spectrum I would say it varies from whatever the task or subject is. When it comes to learning if I am really interested in something like Anthropology for example I would do alot of research watching videos and reading about that subject because it was something that i enjoyed and wanted more information on which would benefit for the class when I was taking it. For other classes that I was not as interested in, I would instead do what was asked and not go into further research about it but I would still work towards getting the best grade possible. Through my years in school I quickly found that I was a visual learner. Being able to see what was being taught helped me retain the information I received rather than listening to a instructor speak. Overall I wouldn't mind learning more about the growth mindset theory especially when it's presented on video and this semester my goal is to stay on top of my assignments while also asking more questions from the instructors when I don't understand something so I do not fall behind.

Introduction of Brett Swenson
My name is Brett Swenson, I am 19 yrs old and have two dogs and five cats. Reason for so many cats is that my dad's wife loves cats, but i think one or two is enough. I have been going to LMC for about 1 1/2 - 2 yrs now, and I plan to complete all of the general ed. at LMC then transfer to a University. I have never been a big fan of school for the main reason that it includes homework but throughout my years of school my favorite subject has been and still is history. So far though out all of all the classes I have taken at LMC I would have to say my favorite class has been Anthropology. So far I have taken two Anthropology classes both being with the same instructor. The Anthropology classes I took had a great Professor who would teach the class using short lectures and interesting videos on whatever was being taught that day. I liked the class so much because I have always had an interest in how life might of been for our ancestors before major civilizations and that's what the class studied alot of which was humans and cousin species and how they survived. Ever since taking that class I have been contemplating whether or not Anthropology would be something I would want to study more and major in but I am still not decided. Outside of college my favorite thing to do is watch movies or YouTube. My favorite genres of movies are Scary, Horror, Sci-fi, and Action/Adventure movies. But most of the time I just like watching scary movies. Even though I'm really into scary movies I would say that my favorite movie is John Wick which is a great action movie. As for a favorite show I really like the X-Files. I don't watch too much of regular television anymore because i can't stand the commercials but I have recently found another show on Netflix called Black Mirror. I would have to say it is my new favorite because of the different stories it plays out in a futuristic period with almost every episode having a crazy twist. Other than that I hope to one day in my future create a business with my brother, probably having to do with the technological field and be able to live a good life making money off a business I created. As of now though my goal is to take one step at a time and get through college so I can really be able to better my future.

A Favorite Place Assignment
One place I would like to visit is a city called Fairbanks, Alaska. Since I live in a state where it's most of the time sunny I would really like to visit Alaska for the cold weather and snow. Although it would be nice to just visit for a change of weather, the main reason I would like to go is because of the northern lights. The best city within Alaska that is close enough to get a nice view of the northern lights is the city Fairbanks. I only know this because when my mother was younger she moved to Alaska for a few years and was near the city Fairbank. She told me that it was a perfect location close enough to really get a nice view of the northern lights. She describes it as one of the most beautiful things she has ever seen and is why I would like to visit and see the northern lights for myself. I also found a website called explorefairbanks.com link to text which shows good locations near Fairbank to get the full experience of the northern lights for anyone interested.
